WWE Main Event 12-16-2014 Review and Results

IMG_5122

Main Event on the Network kicked off day 2 of WWE Week. Another 3 hour day of live wrestling was in front of us because Smackdown was live on USA Network tonight. Let’s see how it went down.

Miz TV kicked us off and the host and his stunt double made his way down to the ring. Naomi was the guest and she told Miz she didn’t believe anything he says and sees right through him. Miz says that he got Naomi a title shot on Smackdown later tonight. Naomi starts to look he is falling for it until Jimmy and Jey Uso come running down. Jimmy says he’s going to tell him one more time, to stay away from his wife.

New Day vs Cesaro and Tyson Kidd

Xavier and Kofi the 2 to go for New Day in this one. Xavier and Kofi got the advantage early with some good tag team wrestling. This gimmick for New Day would be given a chance if they explained it better. I like every member of the group but nobody knows what it is. Kofi and Xavier landed a double suicide senton to the outisde. Cesaro and Tyson together is another thing that doesn’t make sense to me. Why are they a team now? Make it work with in a story line please. They cut to the break and Tyson had control on Kofi. Another spot where Tyson wanted Nattie to help them cheat by she refused. Cesaro pulled out the Cesaro swing transitioned into Tyson dropkicking the Kofi. That was impressive! This match was great! Finish saw Kofi and Xavier hit their special finisher. If you have the network go back and watch this, well worth it. Winner New Day

Backstage we go and Rowan is explaining a Chess move to Paige when Titus O’Neil interrupted. Titus made fun of Rowan and then Rowan challenged him to a game. Titus didn’t know how to play and smacked the table, then stormed off.

We got the Raw Rebound after, followed by a preview for Jingle all the Way 2

Naomi apologized to the Miz and Miz tells her that he still has the title match for her but she needs to control Jimmy.

Paige vs Emma

So the WWE does know that Paige is on her roster and she can wrestle? This is the first tv match Paige has had in weeks. Which is ridiculous. Shes one of the best worker on the main roster, she needs to be on TV.Paige had a lot of funny heel moments. Yelling at the crowd to not dare to cheer for Emma. Paige got the win with the PTO.  Winner Paige

Kane vs Erick Rowan

Titus came down to the commentary table for this. Titus made the commentary funny and bearable to listen. Rowan got the advantage early while Cole and Titus went after each other on commentary. Titus was owning Cole. Match was hard to pay attention to the match, listening to Titus and Cole. The match was what you thought it would be Kane and Rowan just throwing bombs and slams at each other. Match did get good after a while, Rowan looked very good in it. Finish saw Rowan land the big Spin Kick on Kane but Kane rolled to the outside. Rowan slammed Kane face on the table and got water all over him. Rowan turned into a choke slam from Kane and Kane got the win. Winner Kane

This was a fun Main Event, nice set up to Smackdown live.

WWE Main Event 12-2-2014 Review and Results

We The People kicked Raw off, he took on Titus O’Neil

Jack Swagger vs Titus O’Neil

Swagger and Titus put on a very good match here, was hard hitting and very physical. Titus impresses every time, it’s kind of sad he came on so late in his career because he could’ve had a very good one. Swagger made Titus tap to the Patriot Lock to get the win. Afterwards Swagger called Rusev a coward and said that hes coming for the US Title and to avenge the attack on Zeb. Winner Jack Swagger

Adam Rose and The Bunny vs Gold and Star Dust

So we are still doing the Bunny thing, it has to be ending soon. Adam Rose is a good worker, and I get turning him heel, but not feuding with a bunny. The finish saw Star Dust hitting Dark Matter for the win on Adam Rose. Winners Dust Brothers

They then showed Jimmy Uso and Miz situation from Raw, and then they interviewed an angry Jimmy Uso in the back

Fandango vs R-Truth

Not much to say here, R-Truth was just fodder for the New Fandango which is much better than the old gimmick. Fandango hit the flying Leg Drop for the win. Winner Fandango

We got the Raw Rebound and following that it was announced that Erick Rowan will take on Big Show in a Steel Stairs match, what ever that is.

Main Event Jimmy Uso vs The Miz

The Miz came out with a mic and he apologized to Jimmy because he took the Miz good gesture with Naomi the wrong way. Miz went on about how hes helping Naomi. Miz said Jimmy is just mad that Miz can do more for his Jimmys wife then Jimmy can, that started the brawl. Miz ran from Jimmy until he could catch him off a distraction from Mizdow to get the advantage. I like the Angry Uso, it shows they can be something other than the typical Uso. Finish saw Jimmy hit a Super Kick, then set up for the splash but Mizdow came in to fall next to Miz. Then Jey and Jimmy hit the double splash following that Jimmy got the pin. Winner Jimmy Uso

Your typical Main Event good in ring matches to help the fans in attendance get ready for Smackdown taping.

WWE Main Event 10-28-2014 Results and Review

10736069_642190040439_117812864_n

MizTV kicked us off and complained about the twin magic that the Uso’s pulled off last night and then announced them as his guest even though Henry was advertised guest. Uso’s came out and mimicked everything that Miz and Mizdow did leading to Miz getting upset, challenging them to a match to happen now.

Uso’s vs Miz and Mizdow

Jey Uso started us off with the Miz, while Mizdow did his thing on the apron. Miz toyed with the crowd who wanted Mizdow in. Miz tagged Mizdow in quickly just to tag him back. They go back and forth for a while, even getting the suicide plancha from a Uso. Fun match so far, better than last nights. Good match finishes with Uso’s pulling off twin magic again and getting the pin Winners The Uso’s

Susan G Komen package followed by the Raw Rebound.

Nattie with Tyson Kidd vs Paige

Kidd is rocking new ring gear with cats on his shin pads, Kidd is fantastic. Kidd was on commentary, pretty good but it took away from a good divas match. Nattie kicked out of the Rampaige while the commentary table talked about Tyson. Finish saw Paige roll up Nattie for the win. Tyson said he was embarrassed of Nattie Winner Paige

Following the Nattie and Paige match a vignette of just a guy with eyes was shown talking about building himself back up by tearing everyone else down. They didn’t say who the man was but my guess is its Luke Harper.

Sheamus vs Bo Dallas

This was the Main Event and it was boring. The best part was Bo pre match speech about him putting himself available for either Team Cena or Team Authority, to whichever one Bolieves. Sheamus didn’t even put the belt on the line. The match didn’t start or continue any program for the 2. Bo got a lot of offense in though so that helped Bo somewhat. The finish saw Bo slap Sheamus, when Bo started to celebrate Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick to get the pin. Winner Sheamus.

I really enjoyed this Main Event for the most part. Uso vs Miz and Mizdow was entertaining, and Paige vs Nattie was a really good match if you mute the TV so you didn’t get distracted by the commentary. JBL did nothing to make Saxton and Cole better.

WWE Main Event Review and Results 10-14-2014

main event

Miz starts us off on Main Event without Mizdow. We had a MizTV. It was announced that Sheamus vs Miz for the US Title at HIAC. Miz introduced us to his guest Sheamus. It was Mizdow dressed as Sheamus. Sheamus came down to the ring, and seemed to really enjoy Mizdow, who not only dressed like him but mimicked Sheamus every move too. After a quick back and forth on the mic between Miz and Sheamus, Sheamus knocked Mizdow down and then hit him with a Broughe Kick to end the segment.

Tyson Kidd vs R-Truth

Tyson talked about having the pants in the family and the other things that are true in real life are cats and facts. Tyson got the early advantage and yelled at Nattie to get back in the corner. Cole and Saxton weren’t paying attention to the match again. Nattie got on the rope for what ever reason and distracted Kidd, R-Truth used that to hit Kidd with a finisher I’ve never seen before, to be honest can’t remember the last time I’ve seen R-Truth win a match. Winner R-Truth

Cesaro vs Justin Gabriel

Cesaro had a recorded message for Dolph, telling him to man up and face him for Intercontinental Championship. Decent match, nothing to put it over the top or of note. Cesaro ducked under a flipping Gabriel which lead to the Neutralizer. That was it for Gabriel, Cesaro got the pin. Winner Cesaro

We get shown all the highlights of Ambrose vs Cena from Raw last night.

Rusev vs Big E

It’s announced that it will be Big Show vs Rusev at Hell in a Cell. Lana talked before the match. Lana called Big Show a coward, and called Birmingham Alabama the unshaved arm pit. Rusev called Show the anus. Big E then interrupted and the match was on. I was looking forward to this. I enjoyed their matches earlier in the year. This one was very similar of these 2 with Big E matching the power and quickness of Rusev but Rusev coming back in the match. Rusev dominated after the beginning surge from Big E. Rusev and Big E dressed in the same colors look like a tag team out there. Big E hit a pretty impressive belly to belly on Rusev twice. Rusev caught Big E with a super kick then applied the Accolade  and Big E tapped. Winner Rusev. Fun match, really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed tonight’s show. The Main Event was fun, Big E and Rusev have tons of chemistry in the ring.
