So another Christmas episode of Raw, with an appearance from a former superstar dressed as Santa. Another street fight on 34th street. This is becoming a tradition. Let’s count it down as usual.

1. The Hulkster being shoved down are throats

What’s worse than the WWE shoving the same active superstars down our throats weekly? Shoving the retired ones down our throats. Hulk Hogan is one of if not the greatest Pro Wrestler of all time, but that was in the 80s and 90s, we don’t need or want to see him as much in the 2010’s. Hogan’s appeal is centered around the 80’s, doesn’t work now. Once or twice a year is nice but he has officially outworn his welcome back. How are the current stars supposed to grab that brass ring if Vince keeps putting the old geriatrics on the show? Hogan was the man in charge tonight and started the show he made a bunch of matches, this lead to Cena asking for one with Rollins. After a back and forth on the mic, the match is made. Rollins was defeated by Cena after an AA.

2. Dolph steals the show again

Dolph has been carrying this company for a while now. Especially these last 2 months. Dolph has been the best match on the card each night and the must see thing. The sad part? Reigns just got back and he’s getting the push and spot the Show Off deserves. If the IWC hates Cena, they are going to despise Roman. Meanwhile, Dolph had another match with someone he has had dozens with, and it was a bring the house down show stealer. Dolph single handedly made the Intercontinental Championship important again. The IC title is the title in WWE right now, Dolph is that reason. Dolph and Luke Harper put on a great match for the belt last night, this is a must see! Dolph defeated Harper to retain his championship.

3. Dean Ambrose loses….again

I mentioned a few reviews ago that I don’t think this was the right time for this rivalry, no matter how good Bray vs Dean was. I believe it now more than ever. Dean is one of the most popular stars in the company and he continuously loses on big shows. Dean didn’t beat Rollins on any PPV’s. Dean is 0-2 in PPV’s against Bray. Now Dean lost to Bray again on Raw. Yes, Dean won the Tribute to the Troops show but who watches that? Dean needs to be pushed as a main event face that he has been, he needs to win! At a certain point, who cares how great his promos are, that he’s going on last, if he doesn’t win there is no true pay off. This is setting up for a match at the Rumble, if Dean doesn’t win he might as well be considered a glorified Zack Ryder. It wasn’t all gloomy for Dean last night, he did lose the main event but ended the night putting Bray through a table with a flying elbow again.
